Year 1:
  • Using My World 3, or Kidpixs-students plan a safe journey.
  • Represent road safety information graphically by developing skills using a program to create simple pictograms. Use computer generated data and answer simple questions.

Year 2

  • Use map my run to create a map of students journey to and from school.


Year 3:
  • Create a word document to develop a set of actions for safe riding in cars.
  • Use clipart to select pictures a road safety dictionary.


Year 4:
  • Use desktop publisher to create a matching road sign and meaning game.
  • Use iPhoto or similiar to create a Road safety poster or leaflet.


Year 5:
  • Create a spreadsheet to chart crash statistics for a given age group. Transfer data into other formats such as pie charts. Extend into using formulas.
  • Create a word document to list findings.


Year 6:
  • Investigate the relationship between speed and stopping distances. Chart info into table, graphs and spreadsheet as above.
